Items - More Treasure Bags (2024)

You know how there's treasure bags for the Old One's Army minibosses,but not any other miniboss? Why mot give them their own treasure bags,and fix the ones that don't work? I've got some ideas for treasure bags listed below
List:
Mothron
Ocram (if re-added)
Santa-NK1
Ice Queen
Everscream
Lunatic Cultist
Dark Mage
Ogre
Pumpking
Headless Horseman
Martian Saucer
Retinazer and Spazmatism treasure bags (seperate)
Celestial Pillars
Mourning Wood

Sure why not, though I don't think the Twins should have their own treasure bag, unless you mean to say only one of them drops depending on who was killed last.

Though the Headless Horseman has no unique drops and the way pillars drop the loot is fine for now.

Wait,isn't the Horseman's blade supposed to drop from the horseman,not Pumpking like it does currently?
Yeah one would drop,whichever you killed last drops the treasure bagfor the Twins
The Celestial Pillars could have an item in the treasure bag which helps with the Moon Lord fight

Well you can already craft 2 weapons from each fragment, so I'm assuming they're accessories? Plus would all 4 drop one or would only the last pillar, because 4 expert accessories from a single even seems very unbalanced.

On one hand, I can't agree with Treasure Bags for Frost/Pumpkin Moon bosses because of the sheer volume of them that can be chewed through in one event with the right setup, but on the other hand that's exactly why why it'd be fine - the sheer potential volume of bosses you can defeat in one night immediately tanks any value the items could have, so giving them Treasure Bags just turns it into a quality of life adjustment to make loot cleanup after the event easier.

This is an idea,not a dev post. Then I could just say it's for 3DS, and what do you have to challenge that?
It's not intended to be a finished idea. It's only a community idea.

Also, I could just suggest it to be added to the Ocram Mod,and it'd be added. Or I could just invert the colors of Ocram's texture and suggest it to be added as Marco due to having inverted coloration.

Well, given the fact you just listed a bunch of bosses without any other details on what is inside them, I cannot even think of supporting this.

I kinda only get the Lunatic cultist needs one. Other than that I think it is fine the system that is in place.

the Dark Mage and Ogre from Old One's Army have treasure bag sprites but you can't get them

what about the flying dutchman? also, for the lunatic cultist they plan to add a treasure bag for him (it's on the wiki) but they don't say what item will be inside. on the wiki it says "currently unattainable".

The fact that the 3DS isn't going to get updates instantly comes to mind, and also the fact that you could easily tell that ocram wasn't something red made, entirely because of how lazy/low quality that boss was done.

Suggestions aren't really meant for mods unless you've stated that from the beginning (spoiler: you didn't). Also, inverting the colors of ocram's sprite would solve basically nothing and be even more of a lazy move than his original implementation.

It's not going to be added, or at least they didn't say anything about it.

According to Leinfors that Treasure Bag was designed and implemented before the Expert Items were thought up, so when they had the full list and they set for Cultist not having any drops they simply left his bag unused. The same thing probably happened with the Dark Mage and Ogre treasure bags.

Aaaaaand then they let betsy have a treasure bag anyway.

I actually am in support of this suggestion. I'm getting so tired of doing all the work against a martian saucer and then someone yeets out from behind cover where they were doing nothing to help and steals all the drops.

My only real issue with it is the cliché "BrInG bAcK oCrAm eVeN tHoUgH hE wAs ReMoVeD fOr VeRy GoOd ReAsOns!!!!!" thing this post has going on.

Edit: Also, the headless horseman has literally no drops. I don't think he can get a treasure bag.
