Today’s Austria vs Turkey live stream sees two of the most entertaining teams at Euro 2024 go head-to-head at the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig for a place in the quarter-finals.Below we have all the information on how to watch Austria vs Turkey from anywhere in the world with details on TV channels and free streams.
Ralf Rangnick’s stock may have fallen during his spell at Manchester United but the man dubbed the ‘Godfather of the Gegenpress’ is an astute operator and has Austria playing a high-energy brand of football that has won them a legion of fans.
Turkey were something of a mixed back in the Group Stage of Euro 2024: excellent in their first game, dismal in their second, nervy in their last. Manager Vincenzo Montella may well put his trust in talented youngsters Arda Guler and Kenan Yildiz but is without influential captain Hakan Calhanoglu and defender Samet Akaydin who are both serving suspensions.
It should be an evenly contested clash but history is most certainly against Austria. Their last victory in the knockout phase of a major tournament came back in 1954 when they defeated Uruguay 3-1 at the World Cup. However, Turkey will also have to turn around their fortunes as they have not won any of their past four competitive matches without Calhanolgu.
Team news:
Austria make four changes to the side that started the 3-2 win over the Netherlands with Kevin Danso, Phillipp Mwene, Christoph Baumgartner and Konrad Laimer coming into the team. Turkey bring in Orkun Kokcu, Abdulkerim Bardakci and Kaan Ayhan, with Salih Ozcan dropping to the bench while Akaydin and Calhanoglu are suspended.
